The Syndetics proposal development process is the fusion of both RFP requirements and other factors that have been fully developed as a consequence of understanding the market, the federal customer, the campaign strategy and Price-to-Win/Position-to-Win analysis.
Many companies have proposal processes; however, the results are not equal. Consequently, the focus needs to be on the skillful application of process to achieve competitive advantage. Simply achieving RFP compliance only assures that the client is not removed from the competition for noncompliance. Syndetics has three fundamental steps in their process: a Proposal Requirements Document (PRD), a Story Layout (SLO) and a Detailed Story Board (DSB). Our process places an emphasis on how the client must be competitive by differentiating its solution while simultaneously being affordable and credible. Volume Leads work with authors on a one-on-one basis to mentor, coach and review proposal products during development. The Proposal Manager manages across volumes and plans to ensure compliance and continuity with strategy. Our technical and managerial personnel support the baseline development and assist in authoring assignments. Syndetics prefers to operate in a team environment and wherever possible, recommends that the Proposal Manager and the most substantive Volume Leads be Syndetics personnel. However, Syndetics also recognizes this cannot always be the case and is willing to work in a hybrid team fashion, with client personnel and/or other consultants.
